A three days symposium will be held on the campus of Tuskegee (celebrating its 125th anniversary) University (http://www.tuskegee.edu/) at the Kellogg Conference Center (http://www.tuskegeekelloggcenter.com//) Wed. Sept. 19th and Friday 21st, 2007.  For last year activities, see http://www.healthdisparity.tuskegee.edu/8thSymposium/symp8th.htm.  Invited speakers will present on Thursday 20th and others on the 21st.  Unless you are familiar with Tuskegee, you should check the main web site above under ŇAcademicsÓ to learn about CVMNAH and its activities (http://www.onemedicine.tuskegee.edu/).  Like I was upon coming here recently, you too will be pleasantly surprised at our resources and academic activities.  In addition, Tuskegee University has a Ňon campusÓ federal park and most building date to B.T. Washington and G.W. CarverŐs time.  On campus you also find the Center for Bioethics, one of few in the US.  Tuskegee Univ. is readily accessible from HWY 85 south from Atlanta (2 hours drive), 85 North from Montgomery (45 minutes drive), or from Birmingham about 90 minutes drive.  Most flights with fewer connections are to/from Atlanta.  From HWY 85 (inside Alabama) exit #38 takes visitors into the city passed the Tuskegee Airman landing strip (more information will follow after I know more about your travel plans.  Please send me (if you have not) an updated CV, a recent photo and a narrative as shown on the sample enclosed.  Looking forward to seeing you!
